About Piano Show 2 Go
Hi, I'm Adam Mitchell. I have been producing and performing solo and dueling piano shows in venues around the country and on cruise ships for over 10 years. Piano Show 2 Go was created to bring the nation's best piano entertainers to our region and produce world class events anywhere in Virginia and beyond. During my time traveling the world mastering the art of audience participation based piano entertainment, I've played alongside some of the best players there are. I would count it as an honor to utilize those connections to bring top notch piano entertainment to your event.
I've been in love with piano entertainment since my parents took me on a cruise as a teenager. The performer was fun, welcoming, friendly, interactive, and knew every song EVER written. I was completely hooked on the concept - so much so that I started practicing piano again after several years of not playing at all. The coolest part of that piano bar experience was watching strangers come together and become friends while belting out lines of songs they all knew. Every time I sit down to play, my goal is to create that same fun atmosphere that empowers your guests to sing, laugh and become the star of the show.
In addition to producing and performing my own shows in our region, music has taken me to some really cool places. My first real piano bar gig was with a wine bar that had locations all over the country, mostly located in large cities. I would finish my solo show there and go to the local dueling piano bar to make connections and learn about the dueling show format. Shortly after that, I started performing dueling piano shows and invested in a mobile dueling setup. From university fundraisers to weddings to stand alone dueling piano bars, you name it and I've played it!
Of course since a cruise ship piano bar started this whole musical journey, it only makes sense that I've done a ton of cruise ship work along the way. I worked regularly with Carnival Cruise Lines from 2016-2022 and still fill in as needed. In 2022, I was offered a unique opportunity to join startup cruise line Margaritaville at Sea in a hybrid role. I led the ship's showband and conducted a 45 minute Broadway style stage show in addition to my piano bar shows. I also helped launch the new Keys on the Water Dueling Piano Bar on the ship and managed the music department onboard. I'm not one to sit still long, so when I was home "on vacation" I was still performing and producing events in the region. My passion for interactive piano shows shines through every event I produce. Piano guy was AMAZING!!! I've never seen such a happy, peppy piano player that HAPPILY played Bohemian Rhapsody and even had it on thier very extensive list. He was such a breath of fresh air.
